PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method which previously records information to an information recording medium so as to produce differentiation and originality of functions for each of information recording and reproducing apparatuses varying in manufactures and distribution sources when the information recorded to the information recording medium is reproduced by the information recording and reproducing apparatuses. SOLUTION: Common information (2001) which can be reproduced by the prescribed information reproducing apparatuses is recorded, and specific information (2002)which can be reproduced by a specific information reproducing apparatus among the prescribed information reproducing apparatus is recorded, and link information (2003) indicating relation between the common information and the specific information is recorded.
