<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer control method using a portable terminal for mobile communication in a home network system. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a first step (S401) of connecting a portable terminal 41 for mobile communication to a PC 42 through home networking, a second step (S403) of retrieving and selecting content within the PC 42 by use of the portable terminal 41, a third step (S404) wherein the portable terminal 41 transmits a print request message to the PC 42 so that a local printer 43 can print the selected content, a fourth step (S405 to S407) wherein the PC 42 generates a job (print job) in response to the print request message and transmits the selected content to the printer 43, which then prints the transmitted content, and a fifth step (S408, S409) wherein the portable terminal 41 receives a result of the print job transmitted from the printer 43 through the PC 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
