PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrinkle straightening device and method of printing paper of a commercial offset rotary press, surely straightening wrinkles generated in printing paper. SOLUTION: This wrinkle straightening device of printing paper is provided between a cooling part and a folding part of the offset rotary press to straighten wrinkles generated in the printing paper 1. The device includes: a first crown roll 22, the surface axial section of which is formed like a smooth projected shape extending from one axial end to the other end; and a second crown roll 24, the surface axial section of which is formed like a smooth recessed shape extending from one axial end to the other end, wherein after the printing paper 1 is wound and transported with one side of the printing paper 1 in contact with one of the first crown roll 22 and the second crown roll 24, it is wound and transported with the other side of the printing paper 1 in contact with the other of the first crown roll 22 and the second crown roll 24.
