PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide which can perform a stable light incidence/light emission and its manufacturing method, and an optical information processor having the optical waveguide. SOLUTION: In an optical waveguide 1 which consists of a laminated body of a 1st cladding layer 2, a core layer 4 and a 2nd cladding layer 3 and which is constituted so that light is guided through the core layer 4, the optical waveguide 1 is constituted so that reinforcing parts 6 different from the 1st cladding layer 2 are formed at light incident and emitting end sides other than the middle part 5 of the laminated body by being projected from the surface of the 1st cladding layer 2. The manufacturing method of the optical waveguide 1 has a process for forming the laminated body and a process for forming the reinforcing part 6 different from the 1st cladding layer 2 at at least one side of the light incident and emitting end sides other than the middle part 5 of the laminated body by projecting it from the surface of the 1st cladding layer. The optical information processor has the optical waveguide 1, and a light incidence means for making the light incident on the core layer 4 of the waveguide 1, and light receiving means for receiving the light emitted from the layer 4.
