摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow suitable determination of a fuel injection quantity in a transient operation state in a fuel injection quantity controller for determining the fuel injection quantity based on a fuel behavior model. SOLUTION: The fuel injection quantity controller determines the fuel injection quantity based on the fuel behavior mode in which behavior of fuel injected into an intake passage is represented by fuel behavior parameters determined according to an engine operation state. This is characterized in that it has a fuel behavior parameter determination means using relation between engine operation states and the fuel behavior parameters previously calculated in steady operation, and it uses for determining the fuel injection quantity the fuel behavior parameters determined by the fuel behavior parameter determination means with respect to an engine operation state Pmmap between engine operation states Pminj and Pmfwd estimated respectively for the time when fuel injection is started and for the time when an intake valve is closed.
