PLANAR LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING PLANAR LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a planar light source device having a high utilization rate of light with little color unevenness even in the case point-like light sources arranged discretely are used and provide a display device in which superior display characteristics can be obtained by using this planar light source device.

SOLUTION: Two sheets of color mixture light guide plates 4 are arranged so as to clip the point-like light source 2 by light incidence faces 4c arranged at the position mutually opposed to each other. A second reflector 5 is arranged at the upper part of the point light source 2 and has a shape to introduce the light emitted by the point light source 2 efficiently to the light incidence face 4a of the color mixture light guide plate 4. A first reflector 6 is arranged at the outgoing face 4b side of the color mixture light guide plate 4 and has a shape of introducing the light to a main light guide plate 7 arranged at the upper part of the point light source 2 and the color mixture light guide plate 4.
