PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate which shows outstanding heat-insulating effect, beautiful print properties free from impairing the sharpness of a print pattern formed on the surface, manufacturing process simplicity, manufacturing ease, lightweight properties and low cost, and a heat-insulating container using the laminate and a method for manufacturing the laminate and the heat-insulating container. SOLUTION: In the laminate, a foamable heat-insulating coating layer 2 composed of an organic/inorganic hybrid composite or an organic/inorganic powder mixture and a foaming agent, is formed on a paper base material or a plastic base material 1. Further, a gas barrier coating layer 3 composed of the organic/inorganic hybrid composite is formed on the heat-insulating coating layer 2.
