PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt transmission device provided with a case in which the spring load of a tension spring to provide belt tension can be easily measured and varied from the outer side of the case. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the tension spring 38 composed of a tensile spring, and a spring load adjusting mechanism 40 provided with a connection member 41 having a screw part 43 connected to an end part of the tension spring 38 to be exposed out of the case 1, and a first nut 47 that can be engaged with the case 1, so that the spring load F of the spring 38 is varied from the outer side of the case 1.
