PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for setting and/or updating the threshold scores of a learned support vector machine (SVM) model related to fields of computerized information searches and search systems. SOLUTION: A couple of automatic techniques for adjusting the position of an SVM model based upon a beta-gamma thresholding procedure, cross fold validation and retrofitting is described.
