<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an active oxygen scavenger that has excellent active oxygen scavenging effect, is readily prepared, derived from a natural substance and is highly safe, to prepare a cosmetic, and to provide a food and a beverage using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The naturally producible active oxygen scavenger is prepared by containing an extract from rabbit tissue, especially an extract of oils and fats from rabbit fat tissue as an active ingredient.
