<p>PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of a paper feeder to achieve cost reduction by providing a roll paper passage formed by a drive roller and a roll paper roller and a member changing over the roll paper passage and a cut paper passage selectively. CONSTITUTION: In a cut paper feed mode, a changeover plate 10 and a comb- booth part 19 are arranged outside the outer periphery of a large diameter roller l and a feed passage 26 is formed between the upper surface thereof and a guide 12 to feed cut paper 22. In a roll paper feed mode, the leading end of the comb-tooth part 19 is fitted in the groove of the large diameter roller 1 and the passage 27 of roll paper 11 is formed between the rear surface thereof and the upper surface of a guide 18. When the supply of a predetermined recording material in a recording material feed mode is detected by a sensor 16, a paper feed command is issued to a drive motor to drive the large diameter roller 1 and the recording material is fed to an image forming unit 14 and the leading end position and width of the recording material are detected by a sensor 15 to perform image forming work and, thereafter, the recording material is discharged to the outside by a pair of paper discharge rollers 13a, 13b.</p> |
