<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate many genes more quickly with smaller computer resources, relating to an apparatus and a method for estimating the interaction of gene expression to determine a gene network that represents interaction between genes. <P>SOLUTION: A degradation system coefficient estimating part 4 uses data on the time course of a disruption strain, and using the least-squares method calculates the optimal values of the degradation-system coefficientsβ<SB>i</SB>, h<SB>ij</SB>of an S-system model by using values converted into the logarithmic space of the data and a differential coefficient obtained from interpolation data. With the degradation system as a premise, a degradation system coefficient estimating part 5 uses data on the time course of non-disruptive strain data, calculates a generation-speed profile on the basis of values converted into the logarithmic space of the data and the interpolation data, and with the profile calculates the optimal values of generation-system coefficientsα<SB>i</SB>, g<SB>ij</SB>using the least-squares method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
