INSURANCE PREMIUM CALCULATING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble relating to payment of an insurance premium when an accident occurs by automatically detect especially important information on such as a driver and the number of occupants in calculating the insurance premium to prevent declaration of false information and incorrect declaration.

SOLUTION: The system comprises an insurance company server and an onboard device. The onboard device mounted on a contracted automobile is provided with a first means for authenticating a person by detecting information particular to the driver, a second means for detecting the number of the occupants, and a third means for transmitting information detected by the first and second means to the insurance company server. The insurance company server is provided with an insurance premium calculating means for calculating the insurance premium of the contracted automobile on the basis of the information received from the onboard device.
