PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene/α-olefin/nonconjugated diene terpolymer rubber composition which can give a sponge rubber excellent in sealability, softness, low-temperature properties, and appearance, can give a sponge having a stabilized density, and can attain high sponge productivity and excellent surface skin. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the sponge rubber comprises an ethylene/α-olefin/nonconjugated diene terpolymer containing a specified low-molecular-weight component and a specified high-molecular-weight component and satisfying the requirements: (1) the Mooney viscosity (ML<SB>1+4</SB>(121°C)) is 60 to 120 as measured according to JIS-K-6300 Mooney viscosity test, (2) the Q value (Mw/Mn) which is the ratio of the weight-average molecular weight to the number-average molecular weight is 3.0 to 5.0 when measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and (3) the weight ratio of the ethylene to theα-olefin is 73/27 to 40/60.
