<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide measures against unavoidable viewing interruption because of the problem peculiar to a portable terminal, such as sudden power interruption and the disconnection of radio waves, when viewing video by the portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A video display device comprises an interruption detection means 308 for estimating interruption in a video program received by radio communication; an interruption information processing means 307 for recording interruption information for restarting the video program in an interruption information storage means 309, when the interruption of the video program is estimated; and a restart request signal transmission means 313 for transmitting a restart request signal for requesting the restart of the video program by using the interruption information, thus enabling a viewer to be free from troublesome labor of the cueing of an interrupted scene when viewing again and charging/authentication work, even if viewing is suddenly interrupted during the viewing of distribution type content, and performing free monitor switching without the labor of the cueing of the interrupted scene and charging/authentication work. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
