PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP display apparatus and a PDP display method reducing flicker while preventing gradation restriction, and also preventing double images from occurring. SOLUTION: Based on a vertical frequency of an inputted image signal, a subfield sequence and the number of sustain pulse corresponding to the subfield sequence are determined and a different subfield sequence and the number of the corresponding sustain pulse are outputted to a plasma display driving circuit and an image in which luminescence center of gravity of the video signal converted to a subfield data for each frame is moved frontward is displayed.
