PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition apparatus by which a space which can be utilized most effectively at ordinary time is secured and a prescribed space can be partitioned three-dimensionally in addition. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with: an opening and closing body 10 housed at an upper part so as to be sent out downward; and a locking means (housing device 20) which locks the opening and closing body 10 at a housing position at the upper part in a state where the opening and closing body 10 can be unlocked. The opening and closing body 10 is constituted so as to surround the prescribed space from a plurality of directions in the state of being unlocked from the locking means and sent out downward.
