<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish specifications satisfying a reflection preventing property and mechanical durability such as surface hardness in an lighting device forming a reflection preventing coating using a coating composition containing hollow fine particles and a matrix forming material. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device is equipped with a light source and a front cover 4 transmitting light irradiated from the light source. The reflection preventing coating 5 is formed using a coating composition composed of hollow fine particles 6 and a matrix forming material forming a porous matrix 7 on the surface 4a of the light incident side of the front cover 4. A refractive index of the reflection preventing coating 5 is from 1.25 to 1.35, its film thickness from 92 to 120nm, a blending ratio of the hollow particles/matrix forming material of the coating composition from 40/60 to 70/30 in a weight ratio, and trialkoxy fluorosilane and/or silicone oil are added, so that the reflection preventing coating 5 capable of withstanding a practical use level can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
