<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste gas treatment filter having a prolonged life. <P>SOLUTION: The waste gas treatment filter 1 contains a catalyst-carrying layer 2 carrying a powdery catalyst 2a on at least either surface of a porous material and a PTFE porous membrane 3, the PTFE porous membrane 3 being bonded to the either surface through an adhesive 4 based on a PTFE resin. The method for producing the waste gas treatment filter comprises the first step of adhering the PTFE resin and water to the either surface of the catalyst carrying layer 2 and the second step of superposing the catalyst carrying layer 2 and the porous PTFE membrane 3 and heating and pressurizing them kept in a state in which the water is present between the catalyst carrying layer 2 and the porous PTFE membrane 3 to bond the catalyst carrying layer 2 to the porous PTFE membrane 3 through the PTFE resin 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
