Extending roof of camper van, comprising additional elastic strips for easier manipulation

The camper van (1) is equipped with a large roof segment (2) to be lifted in order to provide additional space in combination with a surrounding textile cover (4). A system of swivel mounted levers (3) can be used for the support of the unit. Five slightly elastic plastic strips (5) are inserted vertically between the roof (2) and the surrounding area, divided into two segments by swivel joints. Elastic bands are sewn to the textile cover (4) accommodating the swivel joints located at the strips (5) and pulling the material of the cover (4) into a tidy shape when the roof (2) is moved back into its prior position.
