PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the nonconformity that operation for pressing in of a release button in two stages is difficult for an inexperienced person, even though the release button must be depressed in two stages, in an AF camera. SOLUTION: The AF camera (10) of a type, where focus lock is performed by half-depressing the release button (22) and release operation is performed by fully depressing it thereafter, is provided with a simple photographic mode setting button (23), and at setting a simple photographing mode by the setting button (23), the release operation is performed immediately by half-depressing of the release button.
