The tailgate has an opening (6) provided in a lower area of the tailgate, and locked by a shutter flap (8). The shutter flap is fortified at the tailgate by a linear guide (9) and a hinge (3), and is movable relative to the tailgate. The guide has two lateral guide tracks that are attached to the tailgate and control the shutter flap. The flap is lockable by a retainer (11) of an intervening bosh cap. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle including a tailgate.
