The device is designed as a rectangular metal sheet (1) with elevated lateral areas (2) serving as guides as well as several linear elevations (5, 6) parallel positioned in the upper, the lower area of the sheet (1), respectively. Three transversal rows of curved cutting blades (4) are located in the center of the device (1). At least one lateral area of each of the blades (12) is provided with a cutting edge (20) positioned in an obtuse angle in relation to the basic sheet (1) in order to facilitate an easy sliding of the vegetable to be grated.
