PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectacle lens which possesses a wide clear vision region for observing an object existing at a middle distance in a satisfactory manner, enables a user to comfortably make observation without having a feeling of incongruity and fatigue when turning the eyes from the object existing at the middle distance to an object existing at a close distance or a long distance and is excellent in terms of lens design and to provide a method for manufacturing the spectacle lens. SOLUTION: The spectacle lens is provided with a fixed refractive power region where transmission refractive power is nearly fixed at approximately the central part of the lens, has an upper refractive power changing region where the transmission refractive power changes continuously up the the top end of the lens in the upper part of the fixed refractive power region and has a lower refractive power changing region where the transmission refractive power changes continuously down to the bottom end of the lens in the lower part of the fixed refractive power region. The prescribed range inclusive of a plurality of different positions are within the fixed refractive power range and are regulated on a main fixation axis and the configuration that the prescribed position selected according to the specifications of the spectacles from among the respective ranges is a fitting point is employed.
