摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus for obtaining shorter fixing starting time, uniform heating, suppression of unevenness in temperature in a fixing nip part, power saving and for adapting also to a machine with a high copying speed. SOLUTION: A heating roller 3 consisting of conductive material and driven in rotation, a pressuring roller 4 brought into a rotating contact to the heating roller in a pressurized state and having a material to be fixed with a developer image formed on it pass through the rotating contact part and a conductive heating apparatus 2 installed in a heating roller and concentrating on heating the rotating contact part are provided. The conductive heating apparatus is provided with a core 10M consisting of high permeability material and provided with two or more projections 10a, 10b1 and 10b2 facing the heating roller. The heating roller consists of a cylinder and the core is installed inside the heating roller. When the narrowest spacing of the spacings between a tip of the two or more projections of the core and the inner peripheral surface of the heating roller is "u" and the narrowest spacing in the adjacent projections of the core is "v", u<v is satisfied.
