PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a surface plasmon resonance sensor and simplify a constitution. SOLUTION: The surface plasmon resonance sensor 100 includes a first ellipse reflection mirror 102, a second ellipse reflection mirror 104 disposed so as to share a focus with the first ellipse reflection mirror 102, a light irradiating section 110 disposed at the other focus of the first ellipse reflection mirror 102 and irradiating the first ellipse reflection mirror 102 with light, a conductive thin film 116 disposed at the focus shared by the first and second ellipse reflection mirrors 102, 104, and a light receiving section 120 disposed at the other focus of the second ellipse reflection mirror 104.
