<p>A tip saw having tips joined to tooth bodies on the outer periphery of a circular saw capable of generally remarkably reducing the production cost of the tip saw by setting the dimensions of the pieces of the tips forming the cutting edges of the tips to sufficiently small ones and formable in a throw-away type used up at one use while using a highly durable tip such as a PCD sintered body. The plurality of tooth bodies (14) are formed on the outer periphery of a disk-like base (10) and the tips (12) forming the cutting edges are joined to the tooth bodies correspondingly to each other. The tip comprises the piece (18) of the tip using a cemented carbide for its base material (22) and having a hard layer (24) harder than the cemented carbide formed at the cutting edge portion thereof and a cemented carbide tip stand (20) for joining the piece of the tip thereto. The tip is set so that the ratio of the dimension of the piece of the tip to the dimension of the tip stand in the face side height direction comes within at least 1:10 to 1:4.</p>
