FORCING FURNACE AND METHOD FOR CARBONIZATION OF THINNED TIMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the carbonization of timber from thinning enabling effective utilization of a large amount of thinned timber at a low cost. SOLUTION: A holding hole 10 is dug at a site near the generation source of thinned timber 20 and a metallic basket 30 is placed in the holding hole 10. The thinned timber 20 is put into the basket 30 and the top opening of the hole 10 is closed with soil. The thinned timber 20 is carbonized in a state held in the metallic basket 30.
