The invention relates to a method for the contactless recognition of biometric characteristics of body parts, especially finger lines, using an optical image receiver, from different perspectives by means of several image-capturing devices, by monitoring and/or controlling the position and/or posture of the body part which is to be recognised and/or correcting the image of the capturing devices in relation to the position and/or posture, whereby the outer shape of the body part is used therefor.
