PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier arrangement method in an OFDM transmission system which can transmit an OFDM signal in case of a shift with electric waves at a high frequency band or at a high speed, or even in an MIMO propagation environment under both conditions. SOLUTION: A carrier arrangement method in the OFDM transmission system which transmits an OFDM signal into which a known pilot carrier which becomes a demodulation reference is periodically inserted includes a step of arranging the pilot carrier at predetermined intervals on a frequency axis and sequentially on a time axis; and a step of modulating each transmission symbol of the pilot carrier by a code to be arranged.
