<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system wherein transmission of excess data is not needed, a processing load of terminals is relieved, and the terminals can share and display an image data part noted at communication. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of carrying out real time communication, the communication carried out by taking notice of part of transmitted/received image data is explicitly indicated, a terminal 101 for transmitting the image data transmits the data of a reduced image 5 or an image 7 resulting from segmenting a required part by taking into account the noted part of the image and a size of a display apparatus of a terminal 102.
