<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that is capable of giving high definition display that is required for the stereoscopic display such as holography. <P>SOLUTION: This is a cold cathode display device that comprises an anode side panel on which a phosphor layer is formed, a cathode side panel which is arranged opposed to the anode side panel and on which a film layer having a photoelectron emission effect that emits electron beam by irradiation of light beam is formed, a means of irradiating light beam on the above cathode side panel, a means of controlling the irradiation position of the light beam, and a means of impressing an electric field between the anode side panel and the cathode side panel. The electron beam that is emitted by the irradiation of the light beam is accelerated by the above electric field and irradiated on the phosphor layer, and emits light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
