CASTABLE REFRACTORY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability and thermal shock resistance of a carbon-containing castable refractory.

SOLUTION: The castable refractory contains a granular pulverized material of an Al2O3-C-based refractory which is blended by 30-70 wt.% as an aggregate raw material, is one after being used for steel continuous casting equipment and has ≤30 mm and over 0 mm particle diameter and hollow alumina which is blended by 1-10 wt.%, contains ≥90% Al2O3component and having ≤5 mm and over 0 mm particle diameter.
