PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board carrying device and a board carrying method allowing normal carrying and positioning of a board having an irregular shape with opening portions without error in direction. SOLUTION: The board carrying method for carrying the board 6 via a belt 4 and positioning it in place comprises previously storing a size L and a moving speed V of the board 6 in the carrying direction in storage means, operationally finding a board pass time T0 required for passing the board 6 onto a board detection sensor S1 from the size L and the moving speed V, and outputting a board pass signal, showing that the board 6 is being passed through a board detection position, only during the interval from a timing t1, at which the board 6 being carried is detected by the board detection sensor S1 provided in front of positioning means, to the board pass time T0. Thus, there is no error in detecting the board 6 having the irregular shape with opening portions. |
