PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the radiation effect of an ultrasonic probe, and to increase the diagnostic depth of an ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus by increasing the transmission voltage. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe comprises piezoelectric elements 1 arranged long in the direction X and in a plurality of lines in the direction Y for transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves in the direction X (in the direction of diagnostic depth), a plurality of grounding electrodes 2 and signal electrodes 3 mounted on the front and back of each piezoelectric element, a plurality of signal electric terminals 4 for taking out signals from each signal electrode, a back load material 5 with a function of mechanically holding the piezoelectric elements via the signal electrodes and attenuating unnecessary ultrasonic signals if necessary, a plurality of sheet-shaped heat conductive materials 6 buried in the back load material for actively conducting heat generated from the piezoelectric elements, and a radiation block 7 connected to the heat conductive materials 6 on the back side of the back load material for radiating the heat conducted by the heat conductive materials.
