PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CAD system for enabling the identification of symbol elements and a terminal device therewith. SOLUTION: A layer memory table that stores the names of layers is created through the execution of a command (S100), and once a symbol is selected (S102: YES), attribute values are stored (S103); if there is no history information (S104: NO), a notation mane is created (S105). For example, if there is a selected symbol in the layer for "equipment" and the attribute values are "PRT-LS-02", "printer", "black and white: 9600×600:20PPM", "in charge of Kurosu city 01" and "20030922", and the lower layer represents "Kurosu city", "regional infrastructure", "Kurosu elementary school" and "west schoolhouse 1F", then the result is "Kurosu-city regional infrastructure Kurosu elementary school west schoolhouse 1F device PRT-LS-02 printer black and white: 9600×600: 20PPM in charge of Kurosu-city, 0120030922."
