PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a drive voltage applied to a printing head changes according to the dot density of an actually used color ink and, an ink discharge amount deviates from the reference value, accordingly, the original color is not be exactly reproduced. SOLUTION: A printer 50 is equipped with sixty-four pieces of a nozzle 61a2 capable of independently discharging the color ink for a printing head unit 61a of each color of CcMmYK. At executing the actual printing, counter circuits 75a to 75f detect beforehand the nozzle frequency at the printing head unit 61a of each color, while generating a drive pulse which makes the reference quantity of the color ink discharged from each nozzle 61a2 in jointly applying D/A convertors 71a to 71d and selector circuits 74a to 74f based on a temperature at printing and the nozzle frequency.
