PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of connection between a plurality of functional elements formed corresponding to a plurality of pixels on each of two substrates. SOLUTION: A first substrate (11) has a plurality of first functional elements corresponding to respective plurality of pixels, and a secondary substrate (21) has a plurality of secondary functional elements corresponding to the respective plurality of pixels. The first functional elements and the secondary functional elements are connected through a conductive film (31) formed on a counter substrate connection parts by ink jet printing of the pixels.
