IRON AND CLEANING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron decomposing and cleaning odor and stain attached to clothing or others without using agents or detergents and a cleaning method using the same.

SOLUTION: A plasma generating device 71 is provided to the iron 1. The plasma generating device 71 is constituted of a device generating a active species by carrying out electric discharge under an atmospheric pressure. Steam is supplied around the plasma generating device 71 to enlarge the plasma area generated by the plasma generating device 71 and increase the concentration of the active species. The stain constituted of organisms attached to the textile 91 can be decomposed by causing the active species to act on target articles such as the textile 91.
