PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network communication apparatus capable of easily connecting network terminals with each other. SOLUTION: In a data transmission/reception system 10, a plurality of terminals are connected to an IP network 16. A digital camera 12 is connected to the IP network 16 via an access point 14. If an image photographed by the digital camera 12 is desired to be displayed on a first television receiver 20, when a predetermined trigger operation is performed in the television receiver 20 to broadcast a retrieval packet from the digital camera 12, only the television receiver 20 transmits a return packet to the digital camera 12, and the digital camera 12 acquires the IP address of the television receiver 20.
