<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the breakage of a welded rib at the time of unfolding of an air bag main body. <P>SOLUTION: The welding portion structure for a vehicular air bag device comprises an air bag lid divided by a brittle line on a resinous instrument panel, and a reinforcing door 8 disposed to abut on the back surface of the air bag lid. The air bag lid and the reinforcing door 8 are attached by letting the welded rib 15 projected out from the back surface of the air bag lid pass though a hole 16 formed on the reinforcing door 8 and welding that. A required clearance is formed between the hole 16 and the welded rib 15.
