EXHAUST EMISSION TEMPERATURE INCREASING DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission temperature increasing device capable of preventing a clogging of a catalyst filter by burning particulates accumulated on the catalyst filter.

SOLUTION: Under a state that a vehicle is parked at a garage or a parking lot at the end of a vehicle operation or the like with an internal combustion engine 3 idling, the temperature of the exhaust emission is increased by supplying electric power to an electric heater for an external power source from an external power source provided at a place where the vehicle is parked. Thus, the particulates accumulated on the catalyst filter due to the operation performed until then is burned and removed. Thus, a malfunction of a DPF device and an increase in an exhaust pressure of the internal combustion engine 3 due to a clogging of the catalyst filter are prevented.
