PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition containing a plasma augmentor having a low clearance speed in a blood circulation system and capable of decreasing the occurrence of immune reactions, especially, anaphylactic shock, and therefore suitable as a substitute for plasma. SOLUTION: The composition contains a human recombinant gelatinous protein as the plasma augmentor, wherein the gelatinous protein has a molecular weight of at least 10,000 dalton and at most 50,000 dalton and an isoelectric point of less than 8.
