A catalyst solution for the anionic polymerisation of lactones or lactams consists of a solution of a salt of an N-acylated aniline in an aprotic solvating agent. A catalyst solution (A) for the anionic polymerisation of lactones and/or lactams, containing a salt of at least one compound of formula (I) dissolved in an aprotic solvating agent (S). [Image] R 1H, or a 1-12C aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic group (optionally with hetero-atoms or hetero-groups); R 2H, halogen, 1-5C alkyl, methoxy or ethoxy; and n : 1, 2 or 3. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for the production of (A) by deprotonation of (I) in the solvating agent (S) by adding a base (B) (2) polyamide molding materials obtained by the continuous or discontinuous anionic polymerisation of lactams and/or lactones, involving homogeneous distribution of solution (A) in the melt followed by heating.
