A power supply device is provided to generate a DC(Direct Current) voltage required for driving both a back light and a control circuit for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device using a high frequency inverter control circuit. A high frequency inverter control circuit(22) includes an inverter control integrated circuit for driving both an LCD back light and peripheral circuits. Both a DC voltage(5) for driving a control circuit of an LCD device and an alternating current high voltage for driving and controlling an LCD back light(19) are generated using the high frequency inverter control circuit. A switching control circuit(24) is used for controlling on/off switching of the LCD back light. |
