STATIC ELIMINATING METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

A method and an apparatus for eliminating an electrical charge are provided to increase the degree of freedom for an apparatus design by using an electrode needle generating positive and negative ions. A target(1) whose electrical charges are to be eliminated is transferred along a conveying line. An electrode unit(2) comprises a plurality of electrodes(3) facing the target(1). The electrodes(3) are arranged in a conveying direction of the target(1) or perpendicular thereto. The respective electrodes(3) is comprised of a maintaining member and a pair of electrode needles. The maintaining member is made of an insulating material. The pair of electrodes are facing to each other, and positive and negative high voltage are applied to them, respectively.
