<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method by which optimum color balance adjustment considering the chromaticity of a transfer material itself is automatically performed by detecting the chromaticity by using the transfer material actually used. <P>SOLUTION: In a step S31, it is discriminated whether a paper feeding part is set for succeeding printing operation, and in the case that it is set, a step S32 is performed so as to perform color balance adjustment. In the case that it is not set, operation is finished without performing the color balance adjustment by judging that printing operation is not performed for a while. In the step S32, the transfer material is fed for a test pattern from the paper feeding part set for the succeeding printing operation confirmed in the step S31, and the color balance adjustment is performed after detecting the chromaticity of the test pattern transferred and fixed on the transfer material by a color sensor 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
