A reception device in a multi-carrier communication system for transmitting respective data via a plurality of sub-channels. The reception device (1) calculates a soft decision object value InD0 which is a difference between a probability of one of the two values which the data received from a target sub-channel may be and a probability of the other value, (2) performs non-linear calculation by using combination degrees of other sub-channels alpha1, alpha2 and soft decision object values lnD1, lnD2 input from the reception section of the sub-channels and adjusts the soft decision object value lnD0 of the target sub-channel for each sub-channel according to the result of the non-linear calculation, (3) and judges the received data according to the soft decision object value adjusted.
