摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for radome depolarization compensation is provided to substantially reduce or eliminate effects of radome depolarization in transmit and/or receive modes by determining an incident angle for a signal with respect to a radome, determining at least one offset with respect to signal depolarization from the determined angle, and controlling an adjustment circuit so as to apply the offset to the signal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for radome depolarization compensation includes a control unit(104) for delivering signals through an antenna aperture(108). A low-level RF signal received at a port(110) is divided into left-handed and right-handed circularly polarized signals by a divider(112). The divided signals pass through variable phase shifters(116) and variable attenuators(120). The phase shifters compensate the signals by using a variable differential phase shift related to a desired linear polarization plane orientation angle of a resultingly combined signal.
