PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room heater improved in usability and amenity by switching the heating range of the electric stove from the local place to wide range. SOLUTION: This electric stove is provided with a halogen heater 16 and a curved reflecting plate 18 for reflecting the heat generated from the halogen heater 16 forward, at its heating part 15, and a moving means 19 is mounted to change the positional relationship between the halogen heater 16 and the reflecting plate 18. Thereby, the reflecting direction of the heat radiated from the halogen heater 16 by the curved reflecting plate 18 can be changed, and the heating range can be switched from the local to the wide range to perform the heating in accordance with the user's need.
